The Planetarium Star Theatre is in urgent need of an upgrade. Space lovers like you help make it possible!
Over the last year, all six projectors in the Planetarium Star Theatre have broken down. While we were able to repair them, for several weeks in April and May we were unable to host visitors in the theatre.
It is only a matter of time before the projectors fail again. They are at the end of their life—but you can help us replace them.
Your donation will support the future of the Planetarium Star Theatre!
Gifts will help bring urgently needed upgrades to the Planetarium Star Theatre and ensure a new generation of space enthusiasts will be able to experience the wonder of space.

Carry on the Philanthropic Spirit That Started the Space Centre
Our story started when Mr. H.R. MacMillan gave an anonymous donation to build a resource centre about space and astronomy for the people of British Columbia. He would later be revealed as the generous donor when we opened our doors on October 26, 1968. Since then, we have had the privilege to continue the mission he started and evolve over the past 52 years to educate and inspire interest in the fields of earth science, space science, and astronomy from a Canadian perspective.
Thank you to all of our wonderful supporters!
It’s with your help that we will continue to fulfill our mission and maintain our iconic status in the Vancouver community.
